Ascension is Sunflower Land's endgame prestige system. Once you've mastered Volcano Island, you can ascend to a chain of new islands — each bigger, tougher and more rewarding than the last.
🗺️ The Ascension Islands
Beyond Volcano Island lies the ascension chain:
Swamp → Spooky → Crystal → Galaxy → Marble
Each ascension island starts with 30 expansions and grows to 42. Once you reach the Marble Age, you can keep ascending indefinitely — an infinite prestige loop for the most dedicated farmers.
✅ Requirements to Ascend
Your first ascension (Volcano → Swamp) requires:
Bumpkin Level 150
A fully expanded Volcano Island (30 expansions)
30 Crimstone, 50 Oil, 3 Obsidian & 5,000 Coins
Each ascension after that requires a fully expanded island, Level 50 of your current ascension band, and a resource cost that grows 1.4× per ascension.
🔄 What Happens When You Ascend?
You keep:
Your Bumpkin's XP, levels & skills
Your entire inventory, collectibles & wearables
Chapter progress, friendships & deliveries
What changes:
You arrive on a fresh island and expand it again from the start
Your land biome resets to the new island's theme
Your farm layout: the first ascension keeps your arrangement in place; on later ascensions your saved Ascension Layout is automatically re-applied so your farm is rebuilt the way you like it
Anything that can't fit on the new land is delivered back to you via a reward chest — nothing is lost
📈 Levels Beyond 150
After ascending, your level is shown as an ascension + level pair. Each ascension adds a band of 50 levels, with XP requirements growing each band. Every level still grants 1 skill point — which matters, because of…
💎 Ascension Crystals & Shards
Ascension islands grant Ascension Crystals — special one-time mining nodes:
Mine a crystal with a Gold Pickaxe to receive 3 Ascension Shards
Crystals are granted when you upgrade islands and on the first expansions of each ascension
