# Levels & Unlocks

Your **Bumpkin's level** is the key that opens up Sunflower Land. Cook meals, feed your Bumpkin, and complete deliveries to earn XP — every level unlocks new buildings, activities and islands, and grants **1 skill point** to spend in the [Skills](/player-guides/skills.md) trees.

## 🏗️ Building Unlocks

Buildings are crafted at no coin cost — you just need the level and the resources.

| 7     | Compost Bin       | Produce fertiliser + fishing bait                     |

| 10    | Fish Market       | Process resources into goods                          |
| 12    | Turbo Composter   | Better compost, better bait                           |
| 16    | Deli              | Advanced recipes                                      |
| 18    | Premium Composter | Best compost & bait                                   |
| 20    | Warehouse         | Increases seed & tool stock                           |
| 23    | Smoothie Shack    | Juices & smoothies                                    |

## 🎣 Activity Unlocks

| Level | Activity                                                    |
| ----- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| 1     | Crops, chopping trees, mining, cooking, chores & deliveries |
| 5     | Fishing at the Wharf                                        |
| 6     | Chickens (50 coins each)                                    |
| 14    | Cows (100 coins each)                                       |
| 18    | Sheep (120 coins each)                                      |

More NPCs offer deliveries as you level up, and befriending them with flower gifts unlocks even more (gifting starts around level 5 with Pumpkin' Pete).

## 🏝️ Island Progression

Expanding your land unlocks more resource nodes. Once your island is fully expanded, you can **upgrade to the next island** — a bigger land with rarer resources.

| Petal Paradise | 16         | 16 expansions + 20 Crimstone                                         |

| Volcano Island | 30         | 30 expansions + Level 150 → [Ascension](/player-guides/ascension.md) |

## 🎯 The Level Cap

Level **150** is the cap for your first journey. Reaching it (with a fully expanded Volcano Island) unlocks **Ascension** — Sunflower Land's endgame prestige system with new islands and 50 extra levels per ascension. See the [Ascension guide](/player-guides/ascension.md).
