Sunflower Land has proven itself as a stable & scalable model. Now, it’s time for us to enter Stage 2 of the project.
We’re excited to announce the launch of a brand-new ERC20 token that will power our ambitious plans for 2025. This token will:
Replace $SFL in Sunflower Land.
Expand across multiple Blockchains.
Be used as the primary currency in Sunflower Land
Introduce exciting new utilities to enhance gameplay and trading.
Support multiple games in the Sunflower Land ecosystem.
The token will have a fixed supply and will be 100% community based. This means no team allocation and dumping on the player base!
Why focus on a token?
To be honest, when we first launched Sunflower Land as an open-source prototype (Sunflower Farmers), we didn’t have all the answers—or even expect it to grow this big. The game was incomplete, but we made a promise to turn it into something sustainable that the community could truly love. We avoided promoting the token because, frankly, it didn’t feel right until the game had improved enough to back it up. Over time, with a lot of hard work and the incredible support of our community, we’ve built something we can all be proud of.
Community design and feedback has helped us create a game economy where through demand and engagement, the token has been deflationary for the past 9 months. This is a critical requirement before projects should consider promoting a token and public exchange listings.
While $SFL has been a beloved part of our journey, its design has limited our ability to scale:
Unlimited supply: This created challenges in managing long-term value and securing centralised exchange listings.
Locked to Polygon: No multi-chain support made it harder to grow
The new token addresses these issues, paving the way for centralized exchange listings, scalability, and a stronger ecosystem.
The new token is set to debut in April 2025. In the months that follow we will announce and implement new Blockchain support.
A new token means new capabilities for our project. Here’s a sneak peek into the future of Sunflower Land and its new token:
We’re bridging the gap between gamers across Blockchains. Players will:
Use their preferred wallets to deposit, earn, and withdraw tokens.
Enjoy Sunflower Land on BASE Blockchain at launch, with future support for Ronin, Arbitrum Nova, TON, Solana, and more.
Instead of MATIC/POL, $FLOWER will now be used for in-game purchases of Gems. Players will use this to buy VIP Access, Auction Items, Boosts + much more.
Additionally, the new token will prioritise seamless onboarding. Players won’t need to worry about gas fees or Blockchain complexity. All you now need is $FLOWER to execute transactions and build your farming empire.
Players looking to optimise their farming experience will need $FLOWER to do so.
Premium upgrades: Equip your farm with advanced tools and co-op farming capabilities.
NFT utility: Exclusive new NFTs launching in late 2025, available only with the new token.
We’re committed to ensuring a smooth transition for our community:
1:1 token swap: Exchange your $SFL for the new token at a fair rate.
Launch date: The new token is set to debut in April 2025 with more details to follow.
No Bumpkin will be left behind!
You can continue playing your favourite Web3 game and earning tokens! We will seamlessly handle the transition behind the scenes from $SFL to $FLOWER.
Until the launch of $FLOWER, $SFL can be used as a token for early exposure.
$SFL will continue to exist after the migration due it's decentralised nature. Holders will be able to manually exchange it at a 1:1 rate when they desire. This means you continue holding it in your wallet or liquidity pools until you are ready to switch.
Sunflower Land will keep SFT & NFT liquidity on Polygon, all powered by our in-game marketplace. We have very little usability issues with these collections and Polygon will remain a great fit.
Only the $FLOWER token will go multi-chain to promote our growth plans.
Players can earn the token by:
Completing deliveries.
Finishing bounties.
Trading in the in-game Marketplace.
To celebrate the launch, we’re running two exciting campaigns in March/April:
Farmer Mania: Play-to-airdrop rewards for active players.
Promote-to-Earn: A social sharing campaign to amplify community engagement.
