The Goblins of Sunflower Land have mastered treasury management to maintain a sustainable economy. Their responsibility is to regulate the flow of $FLOWER, ensuring rewards enter the ecosystem while Bumpkins actively spend their tokens.
$FLOWER is designed to be used, not hoarded!
With over three years of experience in crafting a live balanced economy, we have drawn lessons from Sunflower Farmers and Sunflower Land to refine this model.
The Community & Rewards Pools
When $FLOWER is deposited into the game, it enters the Community Poolโa ledger tracking the tokens held by players in Sunflower Land. This ensures withdrawal quotas are always available. Upon withdrawal, tokens are removed from the Community Pool and returned to the player's wallet.
When $FLOWER is spent in-game, it moves from the Community Pool into the Rewards Pool, where it becomes available for in-game rewards & distribution.
Note: While the Community and Rewards Pools are managed off-chain, they are represented as a single on-chain address for security and transparency.
$FLOWER moves from the Community Pool to the Rewards Pool whenever it is used in-game through:
Auctions
Marketplace Fees
Gem Fees
Megastore Purchases
Factions & Pets
Co-op Equipment
The Goblins employ advanced techniques to manage inflation and deflation, ensuring a balanced reward system. $FLOWER can be earned through:
Completing Quests (chores, deliveries, bounties, missions, etc.)
"Promote to Earn" tasks
Flower Fest monthly challenges
The total rewards available are dynamically adjusted using real-time algorithms.
Competitions will often have fixed rewards (based on MAUs) whereas Quests and Promote to Earn tasks will vary daily based on the economy.
Goblins are known to be greedy! Their aim is to hoard $FLOWER in the Goblin Rewards Pool and regulate its distribution to the community.
Goblin Monetary Policy:
The Goblins aim for a 1-2% monthly deflation of the Community Pool - this is tokens taken out of circulation.
A maximum 5% of the Community Pool rewards can be distributed as rewards. This ensures that large spending events do not proportionally scale the rewards.
This mechanism ensures that as Bumpkins spend more $FLOWER, they receive greater rewards, while decreased spending results in fewer rewards being available.
Example:
In the case that 20 million $FLOWER exists in the Community Pool, the goal is that 200,000 to 400,000 $FLOWER is taken out of circulation each month.
1 million $FLOWER is spent in-game, moving it from the community to the rewards pool
750k $FLOWER is rewarded to players
In the above example, an excess 250k SFL is left in the rewards pool.
Excess $FLOWER in the rewards pool will be periodically taken out of circulation and secured in the Project treasury wallet.
This will aim for a deflationary circulating supply - tokens in personal wallets & the in-game pools.
The Goblin Rewards Pool can also receive initiative-based allocations. During major campaigns like Flower Fest and "Promote to Earn," additional $FLOWER will be injected into the rewards system.
For the first year, roughly ~4 million $FLOWER monthly will be allocated into the Goblin Rewards Pool. This is to stimulate project and user-base growth.
This does not mean an addition 4 million circulating supply - this allocated $FLOWER will be largely spent in-game, back into the rewards pool and be marked as excess.
The amount of $FLOWER will be based on MAUs - the above assumes 300,000
Early Rewards Boost:
Early adopters will enjoy increased rewards during the user acquisition phase. By May 2026, in-game rewards will be funded entirely through deflationary expenditure.
Certain in-game transactions will contribute to both the Goblin Rewards Pool and operational expenses:
Example: A 10% Marketplace fee on on-chain trades:
50% returns to the Rewards Pool.
50% is liquidated (for USDC) and allocated to team funding.
We are no Web3 prodigies. We acknowledge that design mistakes can happen and don't live by the dogmatic nature of token white papers. We have designed the total supply with a buffer to support potential future collaborations, partnerships + projects.
We only intend that a maximum of 100 million $FLOWER will be enter the circulating over the next three years.
The extra buffer gives us flexibility if needed in the distant future. If Sunflower Land becomes the next Pokรฉmon, this supply will be crucial!
There are no plans right now to use the remaining supply.

No shady business! The Goblins ensure a transparent and sustainable economy for all Bumpkins. With this new architecture, a lot more in-game spends will happen off-chain. Our goal is to ensure all of this information is public and available for the community.
